What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think it's an important and valuable thing for anyone to educate themselves on legal issues that impact their personal life. An understanding of one's own particular legal issue can assist in making the determination of whether an attorney is necessary and, if so, will make for better communication in the representation.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We are willing to meet with clients for an initial consultation and will happily review any documents presented at that time. However, except in certain limited circumstances, we do not generally assist in preparing documents for self-represented litigants.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We can consult with clients on an hourly basis and consultations can be scheduled and are charged at my hourly rate.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I became a lawyer to engage in a meaningful profession which would allow me to gain personal satisfaction from having a positive impact on the lives of the individuals with whom I would work.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

I have a broad liberal arts background from my college experience. Because I began my legal career later in life, I have substantial experience in business and education, which has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully negotiate and communicate with clients, judges, and other attorneys.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

The issues with which a Family Law attorney deals have a direct and important impact on the lives and futures of the individuals with whom I work.

What do you like best about your career?

I like that I gain immense personal satisfaction from my ability to have a positive impact on people's lives.

Tell us about your law firm:

We have 3 attorneys, a paralegal, and 2 administrative assistants. We are a strong team of caring individuals who have a combined total of over 30 years of Family Law experience.

What are your strengths and style?

My unique strength and expertise is my skill to effectively negotiate and settle cases because of my ability to litigate them if necessary.

My style is intense with a sense of humor.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy spending time with family & friends, my career, and a wide variety of activities aimed at self-improvement.
