What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Educateing clients through public seminars and other sources helps them participate in their own decision-making.

Are you willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Clients' own documents are a good start to the process of creating a comprehensive estate plan.

Are you willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Yes, we often assist clients and as well as other attorneys in finding the ways to best handle their particular legal situation.

Why did you decide to be a lawyer?

I have always enjoyed caring for others. My Estate Planning practice allows me to address many families' needs.

What work experience and education helps you be a better lawyer?

The practice of Estate Planning is more than the practice of law. My degree in Psychology prepared me to better assist clients in many of death's issues.

Why did you decide on your primary area of practice?

I wanted to be able to help people. Estate planning allows me to do just that. Estate planning is an extremely positive field compared to most areas of the law.

What do you like best about your career?

I truly earn clients' respect. I spoil my clients after many clients have not had a positive experience.

Tell us about your law firm:

My long-term assistant, Laura, has been with me for 17 years and knows my practice inside and out.
Leonard first started working for me in 1998.
They are both knowledgeable.

What are your strengths and style?

I let clients speak and I listen to them.

We work with our clients to accomplish their goals and objectives.

Personal Interests:

Being the father of a six-year-old, my favorite pastime interest is my son; my wife, Rebecca, and I are very much involved in his upbringing. We love travel and enjoy a home in Big Bear which offers us winter and summer activities. Our home in Fallbrook, CA has 240 Hass avocado trees and I am developing an interest in growing.
