How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

After seeing many friends go through difficult divorces through the years and listening to them talk about their unhappiness with their lawyers, I choose family law to make a positive difference in my client's lives; to be honest and compassionate during the most difficult time in a person's life.

Ami Decker

Ami Decker, Attorney at Law, is dedicated to serving her community. Ms. Decker is the 2008 recipient of the Larry Siria Community Service Award. Her devotion to helping her community is the driving force behind all she does, including in her approach to her clients. She now applies herself to serving her clients in solving their family law problems with strong representation, understanding, and honesty. She brings all of her education and personal skills to her practice of Family Law, and her refreshing approach and forthrightness is an advantage to her clients in any legal situation.

As she is also trained in communication, she is uniquely qualified to bring about a resolution to difficult family law cases. Communication is the key to solving problems and making agreements between two parties. Perpetuating a long term disagreement is not a valuable way to approach any family law issue. Resolution and closure is what is vital for the client and their children, and Ms. Decker believes that this is the goal when involved in a Family Law matter.

In Ms. Decker's training as an attorney, she maintained a "star student" status throughout her study of the law at University of Oklahoma College of Law, and has authored many legal papers. She is not your everyday lawyer; she is a uniquely qualified human being that has service at the heart of all she does.

The understanding of Family Law is, of course, vital, and Ms. Decker has this skill unequivocally. However, the understanding of the subject must go far beyond the theory. Family Law enters into the field of human relations, and the better one understands people and their motivations, the more one can help the client solve the issues on the table.
