Richard Weintraub
Richard M. Weintraub has been practicing corporate, not-for profit, tax and ERISA law for more then 20 years in the Washington DC and Baltimore areas. He has been of counsel to various area firms that specialize in benefits law for small business clients within the area of defined benefit plans (non-qualified and qualified).
Mr. Weintraub was employed by the IRS at the Washington DC headquarters in the Employee Plans/Exempt Organization Division and has counseled various financial planning firms, banks and law firms in the area of non-profit and employee benefits taxation laws both nationally and within the Baltimore/Washington markets.
Mr. Weintraub has also appeared before the US Presidential Pension Commission and various Congressional Committees regarding taxation of distributions from 401k and 501a plans under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
Richard M. Weintraub is a graduate of the University of Maryland Law School and has a Masters in Taxation from Georgetown Law School.
