Whitfield Bryson & Mason is a civil litigation firm representing plaintiffs who, in a nutshell, have been injured or harmed due to the negligence of a person or company. Within that category, the types of cases we handle are wide ranging and include personal injury matters such as vehicle accidents and medical malpractice, class action suits for large numbers of people harmed by defective products and environmental disasters, and families whose homes were built using defective construction products.

John C. Whitfield

John Whitfield is an experienced litigator and trail attorney with over 30 years of experience. John has handled a variety of cases including personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, discrimination, wage and hour violations, medical malpractice, coal mining accidents, products liability and more.
John realized early in his career that too many people were injured by the negligence of large companies. In 1989 he had the honor of representing the families of five miners who were killed in the Pyro Mine Disaster at the Williams Station Mine in Union County, Kentucky that took the lives of ten workers.
Since the founding of Whitfield, Bryson & Mason in 1996, John has continued to focused on helping clients who have been injured or killed by the negligence of another person or company. He is a certified civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and has obtained settlements in both federal and state courts.
John is a frequent lecturer of litigation subjects with numerous organizations including the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. John has written for the Kentucky Justice Association's trial practice magazine "The Advocate" and is the Trial Commissioner for the Kentucky Attorney Disciplinary System.

Caroline Ramsey Taylor

Caroline Taylor started with Whitfield, Bryson & Mason as a law clerk, upon graduating law school in 2012, she remained with the team as an attorney. She focuses on civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal law, and mass torts.
As an undergraduate at Western Kentucky University, Caroline actively participated in many clubs and organizations and graduated Summa Cum Laude in December 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate and Organization Communication. Caroline attended the University of Louisville School of Law where she obtained her law degree in only two and half years. During her time at the University of Louisville, Caroline was on the University of Louisville Law Review (Volume 50) and was a member of Law Students for Justice, the American Association for Justice's law school division.
Currently, Caroline is the Newsletter Chair for the Railroad Section of the American Association for Justice and an active member of the Tennessee Association for Justice. Caroline has previously divided her time between Whitfield, Bryson & Mason's Kentucky and Tennessee offices, but is happy to now focus her efforts in Nashville, Tennessee.
