Attorney Brent Westbrook decided to serve the financially distressed while still in law school. During law school, Mr. Westbrook completed an internship with the Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Missouri. This internship gave Mr. Westbrook a tremendous appreciation for bankruptcy practice. Bankruptcy has been Mr. Westbrook specialty since becoming a licensed attorney.
Mr. Westbrook's favorite thing about bankruptcy practice is working with people. He works directly with his clients and has set his practice up that way on purpose!
Mr. Westbrook's bankruptcy background started in Law School where he interned for the Chief Bankruptcy Judge in the Western District of Missouri. Also, he competed in bankruptcy Moot Court competitions in New York City.
Upon graduating, Mr. Westbrook was hired by a bankruptcy law firm in 2006 and quickly was promoted to partner in 2008 of the largest consumer bankruptcy law firm in Kansas City, MO. Mr. Westbrook has handled a large volume of cases and has seen every type of issue common to bankruptcy cases - from simple issues - to the most complex.
Mr. Westbrook moved to St. Louis to be closer to family and changed his business model to decrease overhead expenses, but increase client attention.
Our client centered focus distinguishes our firm from others. From your first phone call to your creditors meeting you are dealing with one attorney in our office who personally completes your paperwork with you. Most firms have clients complete large packets of paperwork that a paralegal uses to draft your final petition and schedules. At Westbrook Law Group, LLC, an attorney meets directly with clients to prepare their paperwork for them in the office. We answer questions directly and return phone calls same day. When it comes to your finances, is anything less acceptable?
Also, you will stay with the same attorney throughout your representation. We do not believe that using multiple attorneys as other firms do serves our client's best interests.
* Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers. Any past disbarments and suspensions (with possible exceptions for minor violations or nonpayment of dues, in our discretion) will be indicated accordingly in the badge. Member attorneys are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
