How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

As the son of two hard-working, Indian immigrants, I have compassion for those seeking a better, more prosperous life in this country.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I can better serve my clients if they know enough law to understand their immigration needs.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Often clients wish to save money by preparing documents and having me review them. I am willing to help out in this way on simpler matters.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Immigration is an area of law filled with red tape and technicalities. You really do need the expertise of an immigration lawyer to work through the system for you.

Vinesh Patel

I began my career at Latham & Watkins LLP in Los Angeles, representing Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes litigation. I then worked as a government prosecutor, serving as lead counsel in numerous trials. My diverse work experience allowed me to hone a wide range of legal skills, including complex legal research, oral argument, trial advocacy, and negotiation.

I've had a diverse career, as a large-firm corporate litigator, a government prosecutor, and a private practitioner. I've had vast experience in the courtroom and in drafting complicated briefs, motions, and memoranda.

My greatest strengths are: my attention to detail; my unrelenting desire to understand the law before giving advice; and my preparedness.

Personal interests:

In my spare time, I play tennis and basketball. I also enjoy meditation, hiking, and yoga.
