After serving as a judicial law clerk in both the state and federal trial courts, Tom served as a felony prosecutor in rural Colorado and has been doing criminal defense ever since, some twenty-six years now.
Tom has taken many cases to trial and has prevailed in the overwhelming majority of them. Many other cases have been successfully settled. By specializing in criminal defense, Tom is able to concentrate on the best defense for each client.
How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?
Tom studied the closing arguments of Clarence Darrow many years before attending law school. Darrow was an illustrious defense attorney who never lost a client to the death penalty and who spoke to juries with care not to lose them. His abilities are still famous among criminal defense practitioners. It was reading these closing arguments which set Tom on his path to specializing in criminal defense.
