I have over twenty years experience handling matters of varying complexity, including matters involving professional practice valuations, closely held businesses, pensions, and real estate assets. Because I choose to limit my practice to these areas, I can provide individualized personal attention to my client and their case.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I began practicing divorce and family law over twenty years ago while handling various other matters in my neighborhood practice. Over these many years, I learned that individuals are often at their most vulnerable point when going through the emotional and financial trauma of a divorce. When I first set out to practice law, I did so to "help people". As a result, I took up the practice of divorce and family law...because that is when you need a lawyer the most.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

I believe that, over these twenty years, I have the training, experience, knowledge and, most importantly, the temperament needed to help my clients through their most trying and difficult moments.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Individualized, personal attention resulting from a limited practice dedicated to the practice of divorce and family law.

Theodore Alatsas

I was born and raised in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn, and maintain my office on the ground floor of the building where I grew up. I continue to reside in Brooklyn, where I live with my wife and daughter. I attended P.S. 206 and Cunningham Junior High School, then Brooklyn Tech and NYU, where I earned a scholarship and graduated a year early. Throughout that time I worked a number of jobs, including in my parents' Greek deli, where I learned important values of hard work, family, and respect.
