Ed Norwood has been a trial lawyer for 39 years and is a Board Certified Civil Trial Law Attorney. Ed began his practice at Vinson & Elkins in 1972 where he worked as an associate in the civil trial section for four years. Ed then joined a fellow attorney in Liberty, Texas and opened Taylor & Norwood. In 2000, Ed became a shareholder with Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe & Dawson, P.C. in the litigation section.

Ed represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases. Ed's practice emphasizes complex commercial trials, including contract disputes, land title disputes, oil and gas litigation, and serious personal injury and death cases.

Ed has extensive experience litigating in state and federal courts. He has also handled appeals in the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Texas Supreme Court, and most of the Texas State Courts of Appeals.

He was adjunct professor of Oil and Gas Law at Bates College of Law, University of Houston, from 1973 to 1974.
