The Law Offices of Grinberg & Segal,PLLC is dedicated to helping clients seek asylum. Asylum allows immigrants to escape the persecution and injustice that they have suffered in their native countries and start a new life in America. It also helps those people who did not suffer persecution in the past, but have a legitimate fear of persecution if they returned home. A person may be eligible for asylum if they have been persecuted based on their race, religion, nationality, political opinion or their membership in a particular social group. Persecution can consist of physical violence, threats, unlawful detention, discrimination and mental, emotional or psychological harm.
If you feel that you have been persecuted in your home country, contact our office. We offer free consultations for asylum seekers.
US Citizenship
The final journey in immigration benefits is Citizenship. Many benefits are available exclusively to citizens, yet often Lawful Permanent Residents do not naturalize. Because there are many ways to become a Permanent Resident, certain applicants may be entitled to naturalize sooner than others. Some Lawful Permanent Residents are already citizens, yet they are unaware. For some, submitting an application for Naturalization improperly can result in unnecessary frustration and cost. Contact us for a consultation.
Removal Proceedings is when the Department of Homeland Security is ready and willing to deport the respondent. At this stage, the respondent has to argue before an immigration judge why he or she should not be removed from the United States. However, the respondent still has an opportunity to attain immigration benefits in Removal Proceedings.
When facing Removal Proceedings, the question is not whether to hire a lawyer, but "which immigration lawyer to hire?" That is why the Law Offices of Grinberg & Segal offers free consultations to anyone in removal proceedings. Contact our office to schedule a consultation with an experience immigration attorney.
US Visa
A nonimmigrant visa could be just for you if you intend to enter the U.S. for a temporary period of time. Nonimmigrant visas may allow visitors the ability to gain employment, attend school, travel or be part of specialty events and programs her in the United States. Each nonimmigrant visa has its own requirements and eligibility. For a thorough review of which visa you may be eligible for, contact the Law Offices of Grinberg & Segal for a consultation today.
Immigration Law
A common way for obtaining Permanent Residency is through family. Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents can petition for qualifying relatives. However, some Permanent Residents cannot petition for some relatives while a U.S. citizen may be able to. A citizen may also bring their fiance from overseas on a visa. The requirements for family petitions change depending on the qualifying relative as well. Contact the Law Offices of Grinberg & Segal for a consultation. You may be able to bring a loved one to the U.S. and change their life for the better.
