My passion is helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve peace of mind by developing and implementing creative, customized, and cost effective estate plans. Our first step in developing this plan is to identify and discuss your goals and needs. My advice focuses on creating an estate plan to help you achieve your goals. I always try to use plain English and easy to understand visual aids, so you know what you need to do to ensure that your plan works the way you intend but I am always happy to answer any questions you have if anything we discuss is unclear or confusing. My mission is to make estate planning accessible, efficient and streamlined so that individuals, families, and business owners are motivated to develop an effective estate plan that helps them achieve peace of mind and avoids having to deal with the disastrous fallout that can be caused by a lack of planning.
In addition to creating estate plans, I help families navigate the often confusing and convoluted world of probate and assist families in carrying out any plans, either wills or trusts, left by a loved one who has passed away. I treat my clients and their family with respect and compassion during those difficult times.
In order to stay current with the latest trends and developments in Estate Planning, I became an active member of WealthCounsel, a national community of experienced estate planning professionals committed to the highest standard of practice excellence. This, along with my local network of experienced estate planning professionals and attending seminars taught by nationally recognized thought leaders, keeps me up to date with the current state of estate planning ideas and approaches.
I believe that effective estate planning is critical to the financial and emotional well-being of my clients, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help people plan for their peace of mind.
I received my undergraduate degree in Finance and my master's degree in Information and Communications Science from Ball State University and my JD from Lewis and Clark Law School in 2008. I have been licensed to practice law in Oregon since 2008.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring and photographing Oregon and Washington, spending time with my wife and daughter, and watching (and photographing) my daughter in her various sports endeavors (volleyball and track & field most recently, but I'm sure it will change again soon enough!)
