Child Support
Whether responding to legal problems, or working to prevent them, I get satisfaction from assisting clients in need. My clients appreciate personal service, and it’s important to my legal philosophy.
The Law Office of Brian R. Boney will ensure your child receives the support required by the state of Colorado. He will also make sure you pay only what you are required to pay, so that you can have more control over how your money is spent for your child.

Formulas enacted by the state largely spell out the amount of child support that each parent is expected to be responsible for when the mother and father are not married. Boney Law can help identify and properly calculate both parents’ incomes and fight for fair child support awards on behalf of his client. Child support issues may include payment of health and dental insurance, day care expenses, orthodontia, and private school tuition, among others.
It is important to note that extraordinary costs (summer camp, braces, tutoring, therapy, etc.) are not taken into account by state guidelines. These expenses may be assigned or divided through mediation, collaborative law, settlement negotiations or litigation.

Did You Know? If your former spouse or parent of your child fails to pay child support, we can help you pursue an enforcement action. The Family Court is empowered to take serious measures to collect child support, including wage garnishment.

Family
Whether responding to legal problems, or working to prevent them, I get satisfaction from assisting clients in need. My clients appreciate personal service, and it’s important to my legal philosophy.
Property division. Spousal maintenance. Child custody. Divorce is one of the most trying times in a person’s life. You need someone who not only can guide you through the legal process of divorce, but also the emotional and personal difficulties that divorce causes. I will make sure your assets are protected and that you have the resources to move on to the next phase of your life. Most importantly, I’ll make sure to serve the best interests of you and your children.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I became a lawyer to represent those with family discord and those who have been charged with crimes. I became a lawyer in order to assist people during difficult times.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

As a former high school teacher, I have experience with troubled families beyond just the clients I have represented.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Unlike big firms where you are a code number, and where fledgling associates work on most your case, my clients get me working on their cases 100 percent of the time. I do not have the overhead that causes some firms to overcharge for their representation. And when clients phone me, they get me directly.

Brian R. Boney

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, I moved to Denver in 2004 after graduating from law school. I moved to this state with no job, no friends and no family here because I love Colorado and its people. I am an avid hiker and skier, a Broncos and Rockies fan, and a supporter of the Colorado Symphony. Colorado has become my home since 2004, and I hope never to leave here. That is one reason I am committed to giving excellent representation to my fellow Coloradans.
