Our estate planning practice includes preparation of wills, trusts, family partnerships, marital property agreements, business succession agreements, asset preservation, charitable and family gifts, and other financial planning transactions, including life insurance and retirement planning.

In the elder planning process, we deal with legal issues affecting all individuals with financial, business, property, family, fiduciary, or related responsibilities. We counsel clients regarding business transition and succession matters. We also deal with issues for the elderly, including living trusts, living wills, Social Security issues, Medicare, Medicaid, planning for incapacity and long-term care. We have experience with tax issues, including federal estate and gift taxes, the federal generation-skipping transfer tax and federal income tax concerns.
Probate

We have experience in estate and trust administration and taxation. In this field of practice, we handle the probate of estates as well as represent executors, trustees, guardians, heirs, and beneficiaries in all matters incident to the administration of estate assets and debts, including tax, real estate, oil and gas, financing, and business transactions.

Our firm has represented clients in litigation relative to inheritance rights, will contests, will and trust construction suits, community and separate property, creditors' claims, tax liabilities, suits by and against executors and trustees, and all related forms of disputes involving probate, estates, and trusts. In addition, our attorneys have handled estate tax examinations before the Internal Revenue Service.

J.C. Joyce

J.C. has over 38 years of experience representing corporations and individuals in litigation occurring in federal and state court, appellate court and tax court. His litigation experience includes extensive major litigation, trial, and appellate, Federal District Court of Oklahoma, California, and Texas; U.S. Tax Court; State courts of Oklahoma, Texas, and California; appellate work in 10th, 9th, and 5th Circuits; United States Supreme Court; numerous cases with multi-million dollar issues involved.

He has been involved in the establishment of foundations and other exempt organizations; counseling and tax representation of exempt and other organizations in Internal Revenue Service audits and litigation; and tax representation of exempt and other organizations through appellate procedure in U.S. Supreme Court.
