Additionally, Michelle is an Adjunct Professor for Hawaii Pacific University teaching a range of courses including Introduction to American Political Processes, Public Personnel Management, Political Ideologies, and Public Administration. She is a competition runner, has completed two marathons, and competes in triathlons. She also worked with the Sentencing Project, where she was able to conduct research and analyze data on the racial disparity with regards to felons sentenced to life with or without parole for non-violent drug offenses. Ms. Shekoni has represented clients in worker’s compensation dispute cases.
She received her Bachelor of Art in International Studies with a minor in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University.
