Matthew Karr

The Heritage Law Center was founded by attorney Matthew Karr to provide Massachusetts residents with a personal, family-first approach to the law. Matthew focuses his practice on asset protection and estate planning (including wills and trusts), elder law and long-term care planning (Medicaid), MassHealth applications for long-term care (Medicaid applications), and MassHealth fair hearings (appeals on Medicaid denials). Matthew is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) as well as the Massachusetts Bar Association and Provisors.

Matthew has experience in both the public and private sectors, having previously worked at the international law firm of Brown Rudnick, LLP, a mid-sized estate planning law firm and with several state agencies including MassDevelopment, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Matthew has represented clients on a pro bono basis for various charitable organizations including the Lawyer
