Product Liability
Have you been injured using a defective product?
When the recommended use of a consumer product results in a personal injury or wrongful death, you have the legal right to seek compensation for lost wages, medical bills, long-term care, and punitive damages. The products liability attorneys at Tate Law Group, LLC are skilled in thoroughly investigating a product failure and identifying all liable parties that helped cause the injury through design flaws, deceptive marketing, or negligence.

Our law firm represents people in who have been injured by defective and dangerous products such as:

-Child safety seats
-Defective auto parts, including defectives brakes, tire defects, air bags, seatbelts, door locks, or auto safety design
-Defective SUVs, including trucks, vans and other sports utility vehicles which are prone to rollover accidents
-Wood chippers, lawn mowers, weed whackers and other lawn and garden tools
-Ladders and scaffolding
-Dangerous toys, including toys which cause choking or contain unsafe amounts of lead or lead paint
-Drug recalls, including dangerous medications which fail to adequately warn of serious side effects
-Electrical appliances
-Manufacturing equipment
-Space heaters, propane tanks and other products which cause fire, burns or serious injury or death
-Construction materials
-Mirena IUD
-DePuy Hip Replacements
-Transvaginal Mesh

In any product liability case, it's best to save the product in the condition it was in immediately following the accident. Our attorneys consult with some of the best design engineers and product safety experts to look for information that would provide us with the cause of your injury whether it was a design defect, a manufacturing defect, or an inadequate safety warning which could lead to a claim of negligence.

In today's world, it is critical to be represented by an experienced and skillful products liability attorney
In Georgia, a manufacturer may be liable for injury or death caused by a defective product under three separate legal theories: negligence, strict liability, and implied warranties. Occasionally a defective product case includes unfair or deceptive acts and practices on the part of the seller that violate the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act. The act includes a provision for triple damages, punitive damages, and attorney fees.
Trucking Accident
Dedicated to assist victims of tractor-trailer collisions in Georgia
Tate Law Group, LLC successfully represents victims of tractor-trailer collisions throughout Georgia. We gather evidence to determine the cause of the accident and pursue valid claims against negligent trucking companies and drivers who cause injury to innocent victims. The sheer size of a tractor-trailer makes the outcome of a collision with a smaller vehicle devastating. Nationally, a collision between a truck and a car is ten times more likely to result in fatality than a crash between two autos.

The trucking company and you
If you have been involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer, you need the help of an experienced attorney. The trucking companies have their own litigation teams and agents, who go to the accident site, interview the injured, gather evidence, and begin building a defense. Do not go it alone. Your future is in the balance.

Let us level the playing field
We challenge powerful trucking companies and their agents aggressively to protect your rights. More importantly, we do this to win. Our depth of knowledge and skills allow us to structure the most successful claims for you. We can help you win monetary compensation for medical costs, lost income, expenses, and pain and suffering endured because of a tractor-trailer collision.
Wrongful Death
Handling wrongful death cases throughout the state of Georgia
The death of a family member is always tragic, but when the death is due to another person's negligence or intentional misconduct, the emotional cost seems even greater. In these situations, the laws of Georgia provide the victim's family with recourse for their tragic loss.

With regard to respect for the value of human life, Georgia's wrongful death statute is one of the best in the United States. In Georgia, the measure of damages for wrongful death is the full value of the life of the deceased. The damages include those that are tangible (e.g., projected lifetime income, with no deduction for living expenses or income taxes, value of services, etc.) and intangible, such as the enjoyment of the experience of living. The full value of the life is determined solely by the enlightened conscience of an impartial jury. Georgia does not impose a statutory formula or arbitrary limit on the damages awarded in a wrongful death case.

Ambivalent feelings may prevail
When a family decides to proceed with a monetary claim for the death of a loved one, ambivalent feelings are often intense. No sum of money can bring back the loved one and sometimes the family has feelings of guilt, perhaps because they feel like they are putting a price on a person's life. Unfortunately, a monetary award is the only way civil law can recognize the value of the victim's life, compensate for the death and subsequent losses, and penalize the party or parties at fault.

Recovery for your financial survival
Monetary compensation can help you survive financially. Often, the deceased was depended upon for financial needs as well as emotional ones.

Generally, the following items may be recoverable in a wrongful death action:

-Medical expenses and hospital expenses
-Funeral and burial expenses
-Loss of future earnings and future benefits
-Loss of love, care, and companionship

Perhaps skillful advocacy can provide even more
Skillful advocacy at trial may produce an award that truly memorializes the life of the deceased family member while providing funds to support dependents, educate the next generation, and contribute to worthy causes.
