Susan Barilich has over 30 years experience and has represented clients in contract and business disputes, fraud cases, covenants not to compete, breach of warranty claims, land use and development disputes, title problems, violations of covenants and restrictions, homeowner association disputes, landlord-tenant (commercial) disputes, construction problems and construction delay claims, eminent domain (landowners), lien litigation, collection matters, judgment recognition and enforcement, commercial torts such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and business interference claims, defamation/slander, trademark and trade name infringement, bankruptcy adversary litigation, insurance bad faith litigation, temporary restraining orders and injunctions,and other civil matters.

The firm also handles the defense of licensed professionals in connection with civil complaints made against them by the State of California and other licensing authorities.

Ms. Barilich has extensive courtroom experience, including experience at trial as lead counsel. She has tried over 125 jury trials as lead counsel, and more than 75 trials before the court. She has also handled multiple commercial and construction arbitrations.

Ms. Barilich has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since 1993. She originally obtained her law license in the State of Texas in 1981. She maintains licenses in both States, which are active and in good standing. She has practiced extensively in the Superior Courts of California.

Ms. Barilich is an experienced federal court practitioner. She is licensed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. In addition, she is licensed to appear before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. She also maintains licenses to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Ms. Barilich has practiced with both small and large firms and has been a partner in two law partnerships. As a result of her business experience, Susan Barilich PC is able to provide high quality legal services at competitive prices.

The firm has excellent staff support, which includes both legal assistants and staff attorneys engaged on a project basis. Ms. Barilich ultimately performs or oversees all professional services for clients of the firm.
