Stutheit & Gartland P.C.

Colorado law firm specializing in unemployment hearings and appeals, estate planning, probate and estate administration, probate and trust litigation, and all aspects of construction law.

Firm Overview

The firm was founded by partners in a large, respected Denver law firm. We created the law firm so we could work to help people, not just make money.

Brian Stutheit is rated AV in Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating an attorney can receive from his peers. He has been interviewed about his cases by local and national media. Colorado Public Radio has interviewed him about unemployment law. Mr. Stutheit handles approximately 24-30 unemployment cases each year.

Patrick Gartland is retired.

We are located in the Ken Caryl area of Southwest Denver, not far from Chatfield Reservoir. We handle most hearings from our office for an all inclusive fee of $800.

Client reviews:

1) My past employer was not honest about the way we separated and because of this I was disqualified for any unemployment compensation. I had appealed the ruling and started looking for help. For an extremely reasonable fee, Brian took on my case. Brian remained very confident that I would win my case based on the evidence at hand. I was nervous about the outcome because I was going up against a well-known nationwide company but I knew that I was right and they were wrong.

Brian was very calm and helped keep me calm. After 4.5 hours with the hearing officer I found out 1 wk later that I did in fact, WIN! I will be forever grateful to Brian for his work and especially for believing in me! Marilyn F.

2) Highly recommended!

As a business owner, I recently hired Brian to represent me in an Unemployment hearing. An employee was making false allegations for financial gain. Brian was able to accommodate my schedule with short notice. The hearing was in a week! Impressive service. He is experienced, smart and gets the job done. He gave me outstanding guidance, was dependable and reliable. He returned phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. He has a great rapport, calm demeanor, and is trustworthy. He was approachable, honest, had reasonable solutions and fair fees. He will understand what you are going through and you can count on him to do what is right, (through a sometimes unnerving process). He will ease your anxiety and help to reduce unnecessary stress. His good legal advice can actually save you money, increase your chances to prevail and obtain the outcome you deserve. I did prevail. No hesitation in this recommendation. I am a satisfied client giving him 5 stars and he deserves 10. Ralph C.

Client reviews:

Brian K. Stutheit successfully represented me in my appeal against a former employer which used bully tactics, intimidation, and outright lies to deny my unemployment insurance claim. Brian informed me of my rights as an employee, as well as state code - both of which the employer clearly violated. Thanks to Brian's legal expertise and professionalism, we won the appeal in full, including back charges. 5-Star Rating. Lamarr T.
