The divorce and family law attorneys from Sterling Law Offices will coach and inform you as you enter this transition period in your life.
Our deep understanding of family law and can help you navigate through the options of the family court system feeling confident and well-represented.
We can help you in the following family matters:
A contested divorce refers to a split in which neither spouse can agree on all details of the end of the marriage, including spousal support, division of property, child custody, and more.
Divorce can spell financial disaster when one spouse has become financially dependent upon the other. Our divorce attorneys can help you successfully negotiate spousal support as we have done for countless clients. We will work hard to get the financial backing you require.
When a judge divides property homes, cars, property and more will be divided however a judge sees fit during your divorce. Be sure the court knows all the facts before a decision is made.
Our family law attorneys will work to maintain your family ties, and because we know there is nothing more important to you than your children. We will fight to ensure you are well-represented and you get the child custody agreement you deserve.
The end of a marriage doesn't mean the end of parental obligations. We will work with you and your needs to ensure the rights of your children are secure.

While a divorce generally is not cheap we strive to keep your legal costs reasonable wherever possible.
Below is a general framework of our divorce process.
Free Initial Case Assessment
To begin the process, we provide a free initial evaluation over the phone so that our lawyers can talk to you, get to know you, and listen to some of the details of your case.
After we discuss your case we provide you with a tentative strategy for moving forward. If we are comfortable with your case, and you are comfortable with our law firm, we will schedule an appointment for you to come into our office to sign a retainer agreement and begin the process.
Cost Of A Contested Divorce
For a contested divorce, we generally require a retainer of $5,000.00. (Keep in mind that no two divorces are the same, so the final costs for a contested divorce, as well as the amount of the retainer, will vary depending on your case.)
