What distinguishes your law firm from others?

We pride ourselves on being able to offer our clients the personal attention that larger firms cannot. We are not afraid to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.

Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes. We work with clients to customize a defense plan that best suits their legal and financial needs.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

When you retain the services of John A. Steakley, P.C., our legal team makes it a priority to provide excellent representation at an affordable price.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

In the criminal arena, we frequently negotiate satisfactory outcomes while saving the client the burden and cost of a trial.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

We frequently work with clients of limited means to ensure that they have the legal representation they deserve at little or no cost to them.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

We encourage dour clients to take an active interest in the legal issues regarding their case. However, there is no substitute for the expertise and education of their attorney.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes, nevertheless, we do not recommend self representation, especially when their freedom is at stake.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

We do not recommend self representation. The state will have a skilled attorney representing them. You should arm yourself with an experienced attorney.
