We've been in business since 1990. Since the beginning, we've handled Social Security disability cases.
When Patrick Spencer joined the firm in 1997, he expanded our Social Security practice to include appeals to Federal Court.
How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?
We're here to help people who need it the most -- those who cannot support themselves financially due to a disability.
What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others
Patrick Spencer, our managing partner is regularly consulted by other attorneys for advice on complicated issues relating to Social Security disability. He has been repeatedly praised by judges for being one of the best claimant's attorneys in Colorado Springs. And his clients love him. His dedication to their cases sets him apart from other attorneys. He rarely gives up on a client who gets denied, and usually appeals until he wins their case.
Our win-percentage for Social Security cases is 98%. We've also won many Social Security appeals in Federal Court.
What distinguishes your law firm from others?
These qualities set us apart from the crowd.
We won't give up. If there is a way to win your case, we'll do our best to find it. As a client of Spencer & Spencer your phone calls and e-mails will be promptly returned. We will work hard to get you all the benefits you deserve.
You will work with experienced attorneys and paralegals who know the system. What matters to us the most is helping you win your case. Other firms may neglect your file due to disorganization. But we use sophisticated case management software and an efficient electronic file system so that we don't lose track of your case.
When you meet with your attorney you'll have plenty of time to get all of your questions answered. Many clients say that we spend more time with them than other lawyers have. At our firm you will work directly with our managing partner, Patrick Spencer, not an associate. We will always explain your case to you in plain English, so that you can understand what is happening on your case. The level of attention we give your case isn't common -- most other attorneys don't spend the time it takes to effectively represent you.
I've been the managing partner of the firm since 2000.
Shortly after I joined the firm in 1997, I expanded our Social Security practice to include appeals to Federal Court.
I enjoy what I do because it allows me to help people who really need my help battling a disability system that doesn't care about them. I pride myself on being thorough and dedicated to my clients. And what I enjoy most about being a lawyer is winning for my clients.
When clients hire me, they are putting their trust in me, and making a difference in their lives is truly rewarding.
Many clients have commented that I spend more time with them than other lawyers have, and that I and the rest of my office really care about them. I believe in my clients, and I do everything I can to win their case.
When I'm not practicing law, I spend time with my wife, Cheryl, hiking, cycling, camping, scuba diving, and taking photos. I was born in Hawai'i, and enjoy going back whenever I can, but I consider Colorado my home.
