Mark Stevenson

Mark Stevenson is committed to providing legal insight, business instinct and exceptional results to his clients. Mr. Stevenson is both a business and tax attorney that provides a full range of legal business services to his clients in a dynamic and entrepreneurial fashion.

Mark Stevenson focuses his practice on matters relating to limited liability companies, partnerships, and other pass-through entities and the taxation of those entities. He advises clients on the United States federal and Florida state tax implications of transactions. Mr. Stevenson is experienced in structuring business ventures using corporations, LLCs and partnerships, as well as the preparation of related agreements. He regularly advises clients about the tax and non-tax aspects of business relationships.
In addition, Mr. Stevenson regularly advises clients regarding mergers and acquisitions; organizing real estate joint ventures, and emerging and other closely-held businesses.
Mr. Stevenson frequently lectures on limited liability companies, partnership taxation and Section 1031 like-kind exchanges.

Advises and structures sophisticated real estate joint ventures from both the investor and developer perspective.
Structuring mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, including the use of tax-favored pass-through entities.
Advises and structures deferred and reverse-deferred like-kind exchanges of real estate.
Advises Subchapter S Corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other pass-through entities.
Structures stock and asset sales.
Prepares limited liability company operating agreements and provides advice related to all tax aspects of those agreements.
Represents corporate clients in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue.
Advises clients on asset protection strategies.
