How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I always say that I didn't choose my primary area of practice, it chose me. After law school I wanted to focus solely on criminal defense. However, as my legal career progressed in the Army and then at Jones Day, it became clear that I enjoy working with business and corporate clients.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I think it is important for clients to understand every aspect of a legal matter. Accordingly, every client should do as much research into an issue as possible before deciding whether an attorney is needed and, if so, who the appropriate attorney should be.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I am always willing to review documents prepared by clients.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I will only coach clients in small claims court.

Scott C. Walker

January 1995 to October 1998: Captain, United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps; Prosecutor and Judge Advocate at the largest military installation in the world -- Fort Hood, Texas.

November 1998 to June 2007: Jones Day; Associate in Columbus, Ohio office Trial Practice Group.

July 2007 to December 2009: Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP; Senior Attorney in the Columbus, Ohio office Litigation Group.

With over twelve years of experience with two of the largest law firms in the world, I can parlay the level of dedication, knowledge, and attention to detail required of big firm lawyers to assist smaller enterprises that may not be in a position to hire a large firm and to assist those entities seeking to reduce legal costs without sacrificing the quality of service they receive.

One of the most irritating quotes I have ever heard is "Don't sweat the small stuff." Ironically, it is often the lack of paying attention to the "small stuff" that causes problems that require the services of an experienced attorney. When you hire Walker Law Offices, LLC, we promise to "sweat the small stuff" in approaching every matter you entrust to us.
