The Sanford Firm

The Sanford Firm

We represent employees harmed by employers, righting wrongs at the courthouse every day.

Firm Overview

The Sanford Firm is made up of highly qualified trial lawyers. We take relatively few cases so that we can give the time necessary to succeed and outwork the opposition.

We care deeply about our clients and cases and only pursue just causes that will help not only the persons we represent but our community and our country.

Brian Sanford, the lead attorney in the firm, has had over 100 trials, in Texas and around the country, including trials that resulted in judgments in excess of $1,000,000. He is a past president of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association, has been recognized as a SuperLawyer, and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

We specialize in employment cases, representing employees.
We successfully try cases involving violations of discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower laws, as well as defamation.

We are not afraid to sue large corporations or government entities when they violate the law.
Sexual Harassment
We protect you when you are threatened with sexual harassment and when you suffer harm, we prosecute violators.
We provide employment guidance and courthouse representations for those who have suffered from illegal harassment. The harms can be devastating. There should be zero tolerance for this behavior.
Wrongful Termination
We specialize in wrongful terminations.
Wrongful terminations can eliminate livelihoods. If the termination is illegal, the law provides a remedy. We vigorously pursue those remedies.

Examples of wrongful termination cases we have successfully handled involved:

Title VII discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
FMLA Violations
Whistleblowers of Fraud
Whistleblowers of Safety Violations
Whistleblowers of Illegal Conduct
Termination for Being Injured
Pregnancy Discrimination
Disability Discrimination
Contract Violations
Interference with Other Employment

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

The law provides that in the kinds of cases we handle we are considered private Attorneys General, serving a purpose greater than just the people we represent.

We take our duties seriously and proudly represent our clients zealously. Our mission is to seek justice with wisdom and courage.

When justice is dispensed at the courthouse by a jury, it not only compensates for the injustice of a particular violation of the law, it protects the community and serves to make our country a safer place to live, work, and thrive.

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others?

We only take cases that we believe are just and that a jury would likely find a violation of the law.

From the moment we take a case we are preparing to present the case to the jury, who we view as the conscience of the community.

We are always open to a reasonable resolution of the case, but we don't count on lawbreakers to do the right thing. Rarely will a corporation admit wrongdoing.

Unfortunately, bad managers and human resource representatives do their best to cover up the bad acts. We focus on proving those bad acts and put our trust in the jury to do the right thing, not the defendant.
