Firm Overview

We Have The Experience:
Doing nothing but bankruptcy law for a living makes us better. Very simply, we know our stuff - we even help teach other bankruptcy attorneys. We have helped thousands of clients get free from the burden of 10s of millions of dollars in debt. We have handled just about every aspect of bankruptcy law.

We know the answers. We know the laws. We know how things work. We're not going to make the mistakes that will cost you even more money. Whether you're filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13, there's no better lawyer in town to call.

We Know That How We Treat You Is As Important As What We Do For You:
We take great pride in the level of caring and respect we show our clients. Filing bankruptcy is an important decision, and we know that you will have lots of worries and concerns. For most people, the mere thought of filing bankruptcy seems scary. We know this, and that's why we focus so much energy on addressing your worries and concerns and why we promise to do our best to address all of them.

Our goal is to make you feel like family in dealing with us. We understand what you have been through with your creditors and that you need and deserve a place where you can feel safe and secure, and where you can feel welcome and at home.

That's why we encourage you to keep asking questions until you have ALL the answers. There are never too many questions about how bankruptcy works, but more importantly, we will try to address all your concerns about how it feels, what filing really means, and what you can expect to happen in the future. We only want what's right for you and your family. If that's bankruptcy fine. And if not, that's fine too. Unlike some of the other Dallas bankruptcy attorneys, we won't push you into filing. For us, it's all about the warmth and the welcome and doing what's right for you.

We Have Good, Caring, People Working For Us:
You will love our staff. We are very careful to only hire people who are good with other people, people who will care deeply about other clients.

You have been through enough. It's time for you to be treated with kindness, love and respect. The last thing you need is someone else like your creditors to disrespect you or treat you rudely. You have a right to be treated like the good, honest, hard-working person you are; someone who cares deeply about their family, and someone who cares deeply about doing the right thing. We know that it hurts you to file bankruptcy, and that you are only doing so because there is no good choice. You're filing because you can't go on the way you have been and because you need to put things back in their proper order. We know that family always comes first.

We understand. Life can be brutal. That's why, for us, it's all about "the warmth and a welcome."

We Provide Proven Results:
Our law firm provides results. We don't just say it We have the cases and clients to prove it. We have helped thousands of clients move down the road to a debt-free life. For instance: in just 3 months, we eliminated $4,784,191.00 in debt for a total of 39 families right here in Texas. This was an average of $122,671 per family (it actually ranged from $13,104.00 per family to $683,627.00 per family). That's money that is better spent on your family. We lower monthly payments for every client we represent, and it's common for us to save clients hundreds of dollars in payments every month. Lowering monthly payments for our clients lowers stress. Isn't that what you really want? Less stress so you can focus on more important priorities like your family.

We Offer A Totally FREE Debt Consultation:
We know that when you have too many bills to pay, the last thing you need is another payment. That's why we offer a FREE Debt Consultation. You get a FREE consultation, and you can learn all about what your options are and get all your questions and concerns answered and it doesn't cost you a penny. If you want to come in and sit down, take up our time, get answers and then just leave you can. How can we do this? We do it because we know that if we see enough people and do our best to provide the right answers, we will end up with enough new clients to stay in business. It's a "win-win" situation for you and for us.

Why wait? If you need answers, come see us before you commit to some other plan or payment or organization. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Bankruptcy is not the taboo subject that it used to be. Every year, thousands of individuals and businesses in the Dallas area use bankruptcy to save themselves and their families. Let Rubin & Associates help you through your financial problems and get a fresh starts.

Most of the Bankruptcy laws are set forth in Title 11 of the United States Code, which is divided into chapters. The most commonly know are Chapter 7 (sometimes called "total bankruptcy"), Chapter 13 (sometimes loosely referred to as the "bill consolidation" version of bankruptcy or a "wage earner plan"), Chapter 12 (bankruptcy for the family farmer), and Chapter 11 (bankruptcy for huge corporations).

Chapter 7 bankruptcy and Chapter 13 bankruptcy are the options that apply to most individuals. Call us today for a free consultation and we can help you choose which chapter would be best for your unique situation. Unlike many other firms in the Dallas area, you'll actually be able to talk directly to our attorneys we want you to receive the best possible service possible.

If we decide together that filing bankruptcy is an option you'd like to pursue, we'll walk you through every step of the process

Mark Rubin

I graduated from law school in 1991. Upon graduation, I was extended an offer to work for Gardere & Wynne, a large law firm with over 200 lawyers. My area of expertise was corporate bankruptcy. After four years of practicing corporate bankruptcy, I realized that there was a far better use of my skills in my area of expertise. I also realized in my early days as an attorney that individuals and small businesses face financial uncertainty every day, and that educating individuals and small businesses regarding debt and financial options is very important. Thus, I left Gardere & Wynne and started Rubin & Associates in order to educate and represent individuals, families and small businesses who were struggling with debt. When I am not helping individuals with their debt problems, I spend most of my time with my wife and three children, who are actively involved in sports and youth group activities. I enjoy playing hockey, going to the lake with my children and watching movies.

Kelli Johnson

While I was growing up, I remember periods of financial struggle, especially when it was just my mother and myself. Those struggles that my family faced had a huge impact on the way that I have tried to live my life. Being able to relate to the financial struggles some of our clients are going through allows me to better appreciate our clients and their dilemmas. Today, in my career, I am able to help others come through the hard times and it feels so great! When I graduated from TCU in 2001 with a political science degree, I needed income and so I chose the path of working full-time during the day as a bankruptcy legal assistant while attending law school at night. I did not know much about bankruptcy when I started out, but I learned so much back then. After completing law school, I later opened my own bankruptcy practice. I am now married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a beautiful daughter that lights up every second of our lives. Since joining Rubin & Associates in 2010, I continue to build my knowledge and understanding daily with the diverse array of bankruptcy cases we take on.
