Bankruptcy
Robleto Law, PLLC is a law firm with a focus on bankruptcy, commercial litigation and commercial transactions.
Insolvency matters can be varied and complex. When it comes to business debt and bankruptcy options, you need an experienced lawyer in your corner to guide your business back to health (or, if appropriate, assist through an orderly wind up of its affairs).

Consumer debtors may also face difficult questions. First, are you eligible to file a bankruptcy case and to receive a discharge? If so, will a bankruptcy case provide enough of a benefit to outweigh its disadvantages? What chapter of the United States Bankruptcy Code offers the best prospect for relief?

In a case under chapter 7, a consumer debtor can discharge most of his or her general unsecured debt (with certain exceptions like domestic support obligations, criminal penalties, most tax claims and, in most cases, student loan obligations).

Consumer debtors in cases under chapter 13 may also be eligible for a discharge of certain debts. However, debtors in cases under chapter 13 often repay their creditors some or all of what they owe over a period of three to five years.
