How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I have been there too.

I have personally lived through the finical struggles of bankruptcy and as a child lived through a painful divorce and separation of my parents. I understand the legal process of bankruptcy and divorce but I also understand the emotional toll these matters can have on you. I want to help people move past these difficult times in life and come out on the other side better than were they started.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

I always encourage individuals to educate themselves as much as possible. There are many great resources available to clients, including the internet, public library, and Nolo's products.

I look at free initial consultations with clients as an opportunity to educate the client.

I have no time limit on free consultations because clients may have a lot of questions or a complex case. I want to make sure that after the initial consultation, clients feel they have a good understanding of their case.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

I encourage clients to bring any documents that they have prepared or feel are relevant to their case.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Yes, we regular accept pro-bono and reduced fee cases from Worcester County Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Volunteer Lawyers Service, and Community Legal Aid.
