Robert W. Kerpsack Co., LPA

Firm Overview

The firm was founded in 1999 by Bob Kerpsack, with the vision of leveling the playing field in "David vs. Goliath" disputes. We represent consumers (people) and small businesses with claims for money damages, the defense of which is being bankrolled by large insurance companies or corporations.

Example cases

Bob Kerpsack recently concluded a complex trucking/wrongful death case on behalf of the aggrieved family of a 37-year-old man survived by a wife and five minor children. At the urging of a former client of ours, the man's family hired Mr. Kerpsack within hours of the fatal crash. To ensure the preservation of critical evidence, a lawsuit was filed immediately against the national trucking company involved in the crash. The matter was fully-investigated and prepared for trial. A confidential resolution of the lawsuit was eventually reached shortly before a scheduled trial date.

How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

It can be a difficult time when someone is injured or killed by a wrongdoer whose defense is being bankrolled by a big insurance company or corporation. Bob Kerpsack chose to become a consumer and small business protection lawyer in order to assist in the leveling the playing field when David takes on Goliath in our courtrooms.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

The Internet age has ushered in a new era of educated consumers. Embracing this phenomenon, Bob Kerpsack frequently teaches and authors legal topics relating to consumer and small business protection. For years, Bob has been asked to make continuing education seminar presentations to fellow members of the bar, to judges, and to physicians. The website of Robert W. Kerpsack Co., LPA has also been designed to include a plethora of information relating to consumer and small business protection.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

We routinely review documents prepared by clients. In fact, we expect our clients to prepare documents such as diaries, journals, and other summaries of evidence.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Potential clients who contact us are usually between two extremes of need for legal assistance. At one extreme are those who want to transfer to a lawyer the burden of protecting their potential legal rights. At the other extreme are those who want only to be educated on their potential legal rights so that they can handle their legal claims themselves. We will gladly assist people at both extremes, as well as everyone else in between.

Robert W. Kerpsack

During the decade before he founded this law firm, Bob Kerpsack was an equity partner in one of the premier plaintiff personal injury law firms in Ohio.

Many of the people we represent are referred by our past clients. Other lawyers also refer many prospective clients to us. When someone is injured or killed by a wrongdoer, chances are Bob Kerpsack has represented others under identical circumstances.

Bob Kerpsack holds himself to high standards of competency, ethics, and professionalism. He works hard to achieve full, fair and just compensation for his clients. He never undertakes a case that he would be reluctant to take to trial. Consequently, well over 95% of his cases settle without a trial or verdict.

Personal interests:

Bob Kerpsack spends virtually all of his free time with his wife and three children. The Kerpsack family engages in many activities together, including traveling, boating, water and snow skiing, swimming, bicycling, and attending sporting events.
