Is your firm willing to help a client with one discrete part of a case, without taking on the whole case?

Yes. Depending on the legal issue, we would be willing to associate with another firm.

What are your policies about dividing work within the firm to make the process most cost-effective for the client?

Fulton & Philip primarily handles cases on contingency fee basis. However, on matters that require hourly work, we strategically allocate work to provide the most cost-effective result.

How frequently does your firm use mediation, arbitration, or collaborative law to resolve cases?

Participation in mediation or arbitration is mandatory for all filed cases pursuant to the amount in controversy. Thus, alternative dispute resolution is almost always used to resolve a case.

Does your firm provide pro bono legal services or otherwise participate in your community?

Because Fulton & Philip primarily takes cases on a contingency fee basis, we often take cases that have legal merit but do not appear to be extremely lucrative. In addition, through Lawyers Helping Hungry Children (LHHC), Rob and Neal are involved in the fight against childhood hunger and in increasing public awareness of the harm caused by childhood hunger. In May 2010, Children's Alliance recognized Neal for his work with LHHC and presented him with its "Voices for Children" award.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

Fulton & Philip is committed to exceeding the expectations of their clients by providing the personal attention to their legal issues that they deserve. Clients are not numbers to Fulton & Philip — each has a unique story that will be strategically and persuasively delivered for results.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

Fulton & Philip encourages its clients to gain understanding and knowledge associated with their legal issues. A well informed client aids in helping our firm to provide the best legal service.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

Yes. Pursuant to our hourly fee schedule, we will review documents prepared both by our clients and others.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

Robert H. Fulton, II

The firm's founders, Robert Fulton and Neal Philip, provide their clients with thirty years of collective litigation experience. That experience, much of which was gained while working for national and international law firms, includes the successful defense of personal injury, employment and insurance coverage lawsuits that saved their corporate clients millions of dollars in potential liability. Although all cases are different, and success in one does not guarantee success in another, Fulton & Philip will use its inside knowledge and the same focused determination to obtain the just compensation you deserve when a person or company has harmed your life, business, or family.

Fulton & Philip primarily handles cases on contingency fee basis. However, on matters that require hourly work, we strategically allocate work to provide the most cost-effective result.
