Sexual harassment in the workplace is a serious violation of the law. Sexual harassment comes in many forms, and includes offensive behavior by males and females both straight and gay, against females, males and persons of the same gender.

If you have been subjected to sexual harassment, including but not limited to, conduct described below, call today:

**Unwanted sexual advances;

**Offering employment benefits in exchange for sexual favors;

**Actual or threatened retaliation for refusing sexual advances;

**Actual or threatened retaliation for reporting sexual harassment;

**Leering, sexual gestures, or displaying of sexually suggestive objects,pictures, cartoons, or posters;

**Making or using derogatory comments, epithets, slurs, or jokes;

**Sexual comments including graphic comments about an individual's body, sexually degrading words used to describe an individual, or suggestive or obscene letters,
notes, or invitations;

**Physical or offensive touching or assault.

Rizzo Law, PC has handled numerous sexual harassment matters. If you have been sexually harassed, you may have rights. Kristin understands those rights and has successfully litigated sexual harassment claims for both male and female clients.

Sexual harassment is not the only type of harassment that can happen to employees. In reality, sexual harassment is perhaps one of the most common forms of harassing behavior, but it is by far not the only one. In fact, many federal, state, and local government anti-discrimination laws have very specific provisions prohibiting harassment for what are sometimes very unique classes of individuals, including harassment/discrimination based on age, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, disability, religion, national origin, marital status or veteran status.

Harassment in the workplace can come in many forms, and although such misconduct can sometimes be overt, it can be subtle or even concealed. If you feel your employer or its agents have created a hostile work environment, which has been defined as a pervasive atmosphere of severe or unwelcome working conditions that interfere with an employee's work performance or create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment, you may be a victim of workplace harassment.

Rizzo Law, PC has handled numerous harassment, discrimination and retaliation matters. If you have been harassed, or suffered discrimination, you may have rights. Kristin understands those rights and may be able to help you. Call 619-333-0949 for a free consultation.
