Jason M. Rapa

Jason M. Rapa, Esquire, is a lawyer licensed and admitted to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania and before all three Pennsylvania Federal Courts, the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He is the founder of Rapa Law Office, where he handles all matters of general practice law, with a focus on bankruptcy consumer rights litigation.

Since 2002, Jason has successfully represented hundreds of consumers in cases against debt collection agencies and collection law firms, recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars for his clients. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, Super Lawyers Magazine chose Jason M. Rapa as one of Pennsylvania's Rising Stars. Only 2.5% of all attorney's receive this honor. Super Lawyer Magazine recognized Jason for his work in defending and vindicating the rights of consumers in his consumer rights litigation practice. Jason maintains memberships in the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, keeping him on top of the latest developments and trends in the fields of bankruptcy and consumer protection law. He is a two-time attendee of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act boot camp held by Peter F. Barry of Minnesota and Jason routinely lectures on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act at state and national consumer law conferences, as well as at Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and local bar associations.

Jason became an attorney after graduating with honors from Widener University School of Law in 2002. While at Widener Jason was a member of trial advocacy, student government and the Widener School of Law Clinic where he assisted low income clients in various areas of law. Upon graduating, Jason accepted a position in a general practice law firm in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, where he handled personal injury cases and criminal defense. Jason later accepted a position with a Lehigh Valley firm, where he focused primarily on bankruptcy and consumer law matters, the bulk of which were suits against abusive debt collectors. Wanting to return to his local roots opening an office in Lehighton, PA in 2005. In 2008, Rapa Law Office, P.C. doubled its legal staff with the addition of Matthew J. Rapa, Jason's brother. Together the brothers opened a second office location in 2009 located in the heart of Allentown, PA les than one block from the Lehigh County Courthouse and Federal Courthouse for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
