Mr. Lish began handling estate planning matters when he began practicing law in 1982. He has handled other types of cases, but has mostly concentrated in the areas of estate planning and probate, expanding into asset protection, elder law, medicaid planning and VA benefits planning over the years as his clients needs developed.

He is one of only a few estate planning attorneys who has had some training in Medicaid planning, and elder law. Further, he has recently begun working with VA Aid and Attendance benefits planning, as his clients' needs have developed. For almost 15 years, Mr. Lish has presented at Continuing Legal Education courses for NBI, Inc., a company which sponsors courses in various legal fields in numerous states. Mr. Lish generally presents two or three times a year, teaching other attorneys some of the things he has learned over the years of his practice.

Mr. Lish believes that each client deserves personal attention, and that each estate planning client has unique needs. Accordingly, he spends a lot of time with each client finding out about their circumstances, educating his clients about their options, and then putting into place a plan tailored for their needs. He makes sure that when clients leave his office, they understand exactly what is contained in their plan, and is willing to answer questions they may have later.
