Julia A. Pucci

Julia A. Pucci, managing partner withPucci | Pirtle, focuses her practice in the areas of divorcee and custody litigation. Ms. Pucci attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois where she received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Sociology and Political Science. Ms. Pucci subsequently earned her Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. During her law school career, Julia taught legal research and writing as a teaching assistant and was also active in the mediation clinic where she obtained her mediation certification.

As a certified mediator, she mediated court-ordered child custody matters and assisted parents in drafting parenting and custody agreements. After being admitted to the Bar, Ms. Pucci was employed as an Assistant State's Attorney for the County of McHenry where she worked in the civil division, enforced child support orders and handled other civil matters for the County. Ms. Pucci was then employed with a large Schaumburg firm where she concentrated her practice on domestic relations matters and continued to do so as a partner with Schwarz & Pucci, LLC and now Pucci | Pirtle. Ms. Pucci is known for her abilities as guardian ad litem in custody disputes. Through her strong voice and understanding, Ms. Pucci tirelessly supports the position that is in the best interest of the children. Ms. Pucci gives every investigation her utmost attention using her steadfast dedication to ensure the right outcome.

Julie M. Pirtle has been a partner at Pucci | Pirtle since our formation in April of 2013. Ms. Pirtle began her career as an attorney at Schwarz & Pucci, LLC with Attorney Julia Pucci. She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, including divorce and custody matters, and residential real estate transactions. Ms. Pirtle graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois College of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Northern Illinois University. During law school, Ms. Pirtle was active in the Dooley Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, serving as the vice justice during her second year. Ms. Pirtle was also active in the Women's Law Caucus and the Public Interest Law Society. Since graduating Ms. Pirtle remains active in her local bar associations. She is a member of the Kane County Bar Association, McHenry County Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. Ms. Pirtle graduated law school with nearly ten years of family law experience having worked for two other law firms as a paralegal. As a result of her extensive work as an administrator on family law cases, Ms. Pirtle understands that attention to detail is key in every case. Ms. Pirtle became proficient in legal research after working in the law library at NIU for two years. Ms. Pirtle uses her extensive knowledge in helping each and every client find a solution that is tailored to his or her circumstances while also exhibiting strong advocacy in the courtroom. Thomas B. Spencer, IV

Thomas B. Spencer , IV earned his Bachelor of Arts from Truman State University in 2002 and graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois College of Law in 2006. He then began his career practicing law as a prosecutor for several cities and villages in McHenry County, Illinois. Since leaving prosecution in 2008, he has concentrated his practice in the areas of criminal defense and family matters, including divorce, custody (now known as allocation of parental responsibilities), and domestic violence matters. He now uses his wealth of experience, both in negotiation and litigation, to help each of his clients maneuver their way through their own unique and difficult situation.

Thomas has a distinct understanding of what it means to be in family crisis, allowing him to simplify and explain the often complex and confusing situations confronting his clients. He combines empathy and understanding with an aggressive and calculated approach in each every case. This methodology allows him to maximize not only the potential outcomes for his clients but also his clients' understanding of the process. In addition to serving his clients' interests, Mr. Spencer has sought to give back to the community that he has called home for most of his life. In 2011, he volunteered to serve as a member of the McHenry County Ethics Commission.
After being appointed by the McHenry County Board, he was soon elected to chair that commission. He served as chairperson until February of 2015. Mr. Spencer has also been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, McHenry County Bar Association, and the Kane County Bar Association and continues to be active in the community.
