An accident can happen at anytime. If you are at work, you are entitled to reasonable and necessary medical treatment. The big question for the injured worker is what is reasonable and necessary when it comes to an injury. Your employer wants you back on the job but maybe your not ready or not able to return to work.
Sometimes, you do not know when to hire a lawyer. The insurance adjuster or company representative will offer you a settlement amount to close out your claim. If you accept that settlement, you will be giving up your rights to additional medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation or training, continuing medical maintenance and more importantly the right to keep your case open for a statutory period of time in case things get worse.
Do not go it alone, contact our office to review your case by an experienced attorney who used to work for the employers and insurance carriers.

I practice in the area of Social Security Disability in addition to Workers' Compensation.
I have seen the process first hand and understand the physical and mental tolls applying for assistance brings to a family and individual. My educational background helps me understand and explain what is necessary to filing a Social Security Disability Claim and winning it.
I have add to apply and endure the waits for Social Security Disability determination. It has made more focused to bring my knowledge to bear to help bring benefits home to those that need it.
We work for the injured worker to assist in receiving the best possible outcome and benefits under the Workers' Compensation Code.
We provide seasoned counsel. Ferris J. Barger represented large and well known companies in the defense of employment related and workers' compensation lawsuits. We are experienced in how an employer and insurance adjuster views a case to help our clients receive the benefits they are entitled to under Oklahoma Law.
How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?
I have been through the process of applying for Social Security Disability not as an attorney but as a spouse. I was there through the process and realized how hard it must be for people who do not understand the physical reality of a medical condition that prevents them from working when they want to goto work. The process of trying to make someone understand your inability to work because of a condition that you do not fully understand is frustrating. If I found it difficult having a medical and legal background, what must others think of the process. That is the reason why I practice in the area of Social Security Disability
What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others
I am an expercienced microbiologist. For over a decade, I was the Supervisor of the Mycobacteriology/Mycology Laboratories for the Oklahoma State Health Department. I taught microbiology at Redlands Community College. I have an excellent medical background and knowledge base. I understand how the body works and how physicians treat. More importantly, I know how the Social Security Administration Agency will review your claim for benefits.
