How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

We have beginnings that required the firm to be a general practice law firm. It was necessary but also invaluable when it came to being able to address as many people in North Carolina as possible that could benefit from an all inclusive firm. We slowly agreed that we could better serve our clients by being able to be the best at an area of law as opposed to being good at several areas of law. So we slowly began to focus on a more narrow approach to the law. We finally decided that we all had the ability to substantially contribute to injury practice.
