Before coming to Hawaii, Mr. MacRoberts practiced in the federal and state courts of Kansas and Missouri with a medium-sized civil litigation firm, where he represented a wide-variety of clients in civil rights cases, personal injury claims and other civil lawsuits. In 2008, Mr. MacRoberts relocated to Hilo on the Big Island as a Deputy Public Defender. He has defended hundreds of people facing criminal charges, including murder, sex assault, domestic violence and driving under the influence.

Samuel G. MacRoberts received his B.A. in political science and his law degree from the University of Kansas.

Before coming to Hawaii, Mr. MacRoberts practiced in the federal and state courts of Kansas and Missouri with a medium-sized civil litigation firm, where he represented a wide-variety of clients in civil rights cases, personal injury claims and other civil lawsuits.
