Firm Overview

In 1990, O'Malley & Langan was founded. Since that time, as the practice has grown, so too has our team of partners, associates and support staff. Each member of the O'Malley & Langan family is here because he or she has what it takes to make a real difference in our clients' lives. Professional. Experienced. Knowledgeable. Effective. Compassionate. And when it comes to winning, we are focused and aggressive about moving your case forward.

Each of our attorneys brings character, compassion and a commitment to excellence to every case. We respect our clients as individuals and understand each person is facing a highly personal and often unique situation. Our lawyers work closely with a well-trained support staff to ensure clients experience a high degree of accessibility, confidentiality and open two-way communication. We are dedicated to providing professional, effective and aggressive legal representation.

Selecting the right law firm to represent you is one of the most important decisions you may ever make. Here at O'Malley & Langan, you can put your trust in our unwavering commitment to make things right, to get you the justice and the compensation that rightfully belongs to you.

When our energies and resources combine on your behalf, you'll know what it feels like to have a real ally on your side. No more feeling alone. No more wondering. No more worrying. Let us shoulder the burden. Throughout the legal process, we treat you with dignity and respect. If you need us, you call us. We're there for you. It's that simple. We make you our priority, and take the time to help you understand what's going on as the case unfolds and find some comfort during what can be a stressful and confusing time.

If you're interested in speaking with us, your first step would be to schedule a free, confidential consultation. You should know the attorney-client privilege applies to this meeting, even if you don't hire us to represent you. Attorney-client privilege is a legal concept that protects certain communications between a client and his or her attorney and keeps those communications confidential. For us, this meeting is the beginning of a relationship, not a transaction. When speaking with clients, things are never rushed. You'll have plenty of time to tell us what's going on and ask all your questions. During your consultation, you can share the relevant information that allows your attorney to properly assess your case. When sharing your case history with us, it's vitally important that you be absolutely honest. To give you every advantage while preparing your case, we need all of your information up front, both positive and negative. We always appreciate when a client comes in prepared, with documents organized and questions ready.

Our firm has handled Social Security cases for close to thirty (30) years. In late 2011, we formed a Social Security team which enables us to handle cases statewide.

All Social Security cases are handled by our team which includes Attorney Todd O'Malley who has handled SS cases for more than 25 years, Attorney Christina Novajosky who has handled SS cases for 17 years, Lead Paralegal Phil Costanzo who has handled cases for more than 25 years and Case Managers Holly Petrunich who has handled cases for 15 years and Terry Tracy who worked for the Social Security Administration for over 30 years and after retiring joined our team, of which he has been a part for nearly 7 years. Attorney Novajosky, Phil Costanzo and Holly Petrunich are members of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR).

Many individuals unable to work are unaware of their right to Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits. If it will be 12 months or more before you can return to work and have worked and paid into the system 5 out of the last 10 years, you may be eligible for SSD benefits. It is important if you are entitled to SSD benefits you apply before you are no longer insured, meaning you would no longer qualify for SSD benefits. Typically a person is insured for 5 years since the date you last worked. Lastly, if you do not have enough work credits, or never worked, you may be entitled to Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
