Jennifer Emens-Butler

Jennifer Emens-Butler has been practicing with Raymond Obuchowski since 1998 following her clerkship with Francis G. Conrad, US Bankruptcy Judge. While she continues to focus primarily on debtor-creditor and risk analysis matters, she has also mediated over 80 foreclosure mediations as mediator in State Court and Bankruptcy Court. Jennifer has been awarded an "AV -Preeminent" Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has received her certification from the American Board of Certification in consumer bankruptcy. Jennifer is recognized as a New England Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers and was rated a Top Business Lawyer by Vermont Business Magazine. She continues to serve on the Board of Managers for the Vermont Bar Association, speaks frequently at continuing legal education seminars and is a Corporator for Northfield Savings Bank. She happily resides in Bethel with her husband, son, labradoodle and standard poodle.

Don F. Hayes

Don Hayes is a 2010 graduate of Vermont Law School and a 1993 cum laude graduate from Temple University. Prior to attending law school, Don worked for 14 years in the private sector which included a stint as a District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America, Philadelphia Council, and as vice-president of marketing for Warren Industries, Inc. In 2007, he earned a Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning from Temple University. Don and his wife Kat (Katrina) live in South Royalton. They are dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities by teaching, as volunteers, skiing, rowing, and rock climbing.

Raymond J. Obuchowski

Raymond Obuchowski, founder, has been on the panel of Chapter 7 trustees since 1986 and has served as Chapter 7 Trustee in over 10,000 bankruptcy cases. He is a member of the esteemed American College of Bankruptcy Lawyers and is listed in Best Lawyers and New England Super Lawyers. He currently serves on the board of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and the board for the American Board of Certification (ABC). Ray travels extensively as a frequent presenter in bankruptcy and insolvency programs nationwide. He has been certified in the areas of business and consumer bankruptcy since 1992 by the ABC. Ray lives in South Royalton, with his wife, Marie, and travels to Oak Island, North Carolina whenever he is able.
