How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

What experience or education distinguishes your lawyers from others

Our attorneys are each specialized in one or two areas of law allowing them to better master the nuances of that area of the law. Attorneys that have a general practice are often good attorneys, but often miss some of the latest trends and complexities in any particular area of law. We are constantly increasing our knowledge so that we can provide superior service and creative solutions.

What distinguishes your law firm from others?

At Novation Law communication is key. The number one complaint to bar associations is usually "My attorney won't return my phone calls." Not only are we prompt at returning phone calls/emails, we are proactive and contact the client regularly with updates.

We think outside the legal box. Sometimes lawyers get stuck in the mind frame that problems are only solved by demand letters and filing lawsuits. We explore all avenues to get the best results.

We know that trust must be earned. The legal process can be complicated. We know that trust must be earned. That way, when it is time to make a judgement call, you will feel comfortable and confident with our recommendation.

Our clients always come first. We care about how you have been affected. The practice of law is far more fulfilling when it is about helping people and not just about making money.

Erin Christison

Attorney/Managing Member

With several years of courtroom experience as a deputy prosecuting attorney, Erin knows how to maneuver the legal system. Her background has helped in negotiating and litigating cases to acquire the best results for her clients.

Alma Jean

As an immigrant himself, Alma appreciates the need for zealous representation. His dedication to immigration has driven him to hone his skills and better serve his clients. Alma also speaks Korean.

Earl Christison

With both a law degree and an MBA, Earl brings new ways of thinking about business ventures. As a representative of an angel fund, Earl understands both sides of a new venture and has learned how to navigate the pitfalls many entrepreneurs face. Clients find Earl's focus on entrepreneurialism refreshing because he is constantly seeking solutions instead of repeatedly settling for "no".

* Nolo has confirmed that every member attorney has a valid license and is in good standing with the state agency that licenses lawyers. Any past disbarments and suspensions (with possible exceptions for minor violations or nonpayment of dues, in our discretion) will be indicated accordingly in the badge. Member attorneys are required to notify Nolo immediately if they become the subject of any disciplinary action by any state licensing agency.
