Stoddard Law Firm is proud of its long history of providing honest, fair and professional legal services since 1947, when Charles C. Moore and Robert L. Stoddard established the firm. Stoddard Law Firm has continually served South Carolina area residents since that time. The law firm has been practicing in the same location since 1960 directly across the street from the front door of the courthouse.

The members of this law firm throughout its history have always been proud of their commitment to justice in Spartanburg County through representing members of the community and through public service. Charles C. Moore served in the state Senate, representing Spartanburg County for 23 years as its only senator, before he retired. Mr. Moore died in 1992. Robert L. Stoddard served the people of Spartanburg three terms as mayor of the city from 1961 to 1972. His son, Wesley A. Stoddard, was assistant city attorney for the City of Spartanburg from 1984 to 1995, serving as the city's prosecutor. George H. Wood was very active in civic affairs before his death in 1994
