Gregory A. Monteleone began his legal career in the Westchester County District Attorney's Office as an assistant district attorney in 1991. He then moved on for ten years working as a senior trial attorney working for a number of the largest insurance companies defending insureds in complex personal injury actions in New York City and the northern counties. Mr. Monteleone defended both individuals and some of the largest corporations and construction companies in the tri-state area. During that time, Mr. Monteleone tried many cases to verdict.

The Board is an independent review and appeals board charged under the New York State Labor Law to provide an administrative review of the validity or reasonableness of rules, regulations, or orders issued by the Commissioner of Labor. The Board provided the many individuals, businesses, and unions of this state who are affected by the labor law with continued exercise of sound and established principles of due process in administrative proceedings. Mr. Monteleone was honored and privileged by his selection by Governor Pataki to the board. He was one of the longest-serving board members in its history, stepping down in 2009.

Anthony J. Monteleone began his legal career in 1964 practicing law in New York City for a large litigation firm. After three years of trial work in all courts, he moved to Westchester County with two major trial firms before being offered a partnership in a smaller general practice firm in Mount Kisco, New York. During his legal career, he tried many cases to verdict in the areas of real property, zoning and planning, trusts and estates and negligence.

Since practicing in northern Westchester from the late 1960s, he has specialized in complex real estate zoning matters and wills, trusts and estate issues. Mr. Monteleone has argued cases successfully before the Appellate Division and New York State Court of Appeals.

Upon graduation from Holy Cross College in 1957, having attended on a Naval ROTC Scholarship, he was commissioned ENSIGN, USN and assigned to the Gunnery Department on the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. (DD850). He rose to Gunnery Department Head in charge of 150 officers and enlisted men. In 1960, he became an instructor of Naval Science at New York State Maritime College where he remained for four years while attending Fordham Law School (Evening Division). In 1964, Mr. Monteleone graduated from Fordham Law School and left active Navy Duty. He joined the Naval Reserve and commanded different reserve units over his 22-year naval career. He is now retired with the rank of Captain, USNR-R.

Mr. Monteleone has been and continues to be involved in many civic and charitable organizations in Westchester County. He is currently is the president of The Foundation for the Mount Kisco Public Library where through his leadership, the foundation has raised over $400,000.00 in donations to be used toward enhancing and expanding the new library's programs and facilities. Mr. Monteleone has served as president of the Mount Kisco Rotary Club, and selected to be a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary. He is a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and past president of its board of directors.

The Board provided the many individuals, businesses, and unions of this state who are affected by the labor law with continued exercise of sound and established principles of due process in administrative proceedings. Mr. Monteleone was honored and privileged by his selection by Governor Pataki to the board. He was one of the longest-serving board members in its history, stepping down in 2009.


Current Professional Appointments and Associations- Mr. Monteleone is involved in many civic and charitable organizations in Westchester County and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Country Children's Center Day Care Facility. He is also the past President of the Northern Westchester Bar Association.

Mr. Monteleone presently acts as the Town Prosecutor of the Town of Lewisboro and as Special Counsel to the Planning Board, Zoning Board and Building Department of the Town of Lewisboro.

Mr. Monteleone also acts as the Chairman of the Town of Lewisboro Open Space and Preserves Committee.

Anthony J. Monteleone

Anthony J. Monteleone began his legal career in 1964 practicing law in New York City for a large litigation firm. After three years of trial work in all courts, he moved to Westchester County with two major trial firms before being offered a partnership in a smaller general practice firm in Mount Kisco, New York. During his legal career, he tried many cases to verdict in the areas of real property, zoning and planning, trusts and estates and negligence.

Since practicing in northern Westchester from the late 1960s, he has specialized in complex real estate zoning matters and wills, trusts and estate issues. Mr. Monteleone has argued cases successfully before the Appellate Division and New York State Court of Appeals.

Upon graduation from Holy Cross College in 1957, having attended on a Naval ROTC Scholarship, he was commissioned ENSIGN, USN and assigned to the Gunnery Department on the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. (DD850). He rose to Gunnery Department Head in charge of 150 officers and enlisted men. In 1960, he became an instructor of Naval Science at New York State Maritime College where he remained for four years while attending Fordham Law School (Evening Division). In 1964, Mr. Monteleone graduated from Fordham Law School and left active Navy Duty. He joined the Naval Reserve and commanded different reserve units over his 22-year naval career. He is now retired with the rank of Captain, USNR-R.

Mr. Monteleone has been and continues to be involved in many civic and charitable organizations in Westchester County. He is currently is the president of The Foundation for the Mount Kisco Public Library where through his leadership, the foundation has raised over $400,000.00 in donations to be used toward enhancing and expanding the new library's programs and facilities. Mr. Monteleone has served as president of the Mount Kisco Rotary Club, and selected to be a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary. He is a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and past president of its board of directors.
