She is chair of the Elder Law Estate Section of the Fairfax Bar Association. She is the President of the Comite Tricolor (non-profit organization helping French Citizens in need).

Ms. Miorini is licensed in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and New York. She has over 15 years of experience. She received a French J.D. from University of La Sorbonne, Paris, France, and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from George Washington University Law School.

In her spare time, she organizes dinners for a French Association (Washington Accueil Association), travels, and enjoys being with her husband, two teenage children and cat.

Michelle Martinez began working as an associate attorney at Miorini Law, PLLC in May 2018. She has experience in estate planning, trust administration, taxation and wealth planning, with a particular interest in elder law. Ms. Martinez has a B.A. in political science and history, an M.A. in International Relations, and a J.D. with plans to pursue an LL.M. She has always enjoyed working with the elderly members of our society, from volunteering in nursing homes throughout high school and college to providing legal advice and assistance following law school. Ms. Martinez served as her father's agent for health care decisions throughout his own battle with Alzheimer's Disease, which strengthened her passion for elder law. She understands what family members are going through on a personal level, and she is familiar with the logistical, financial and legal challenges such an illness can create. Ms. Martinez is also passionate about military veterans' rights, based on her experience of being an advocate for her veteran father and as a former military spouse. She has experience navigating the complex landscape of the VA for veterans in need of health care.

Prior to joining Miorini Law, PLLC, Ms. Martinez worked in the trust and estates practice of Greenberg Traurig LLP, advising high net worth Family Office clients on sophisticated tax and asset protection planning. She also managed estate administrations and probate matters, in addition to writing articles for publication in the firm's Wealth Management blog. Following Greenberg Traurig, Ms. Martinez expanded her tax and high net worth client experience in the Personal Financial Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where she worked directly with the firm's National Technical Resource conducting legal research on a wide range of complex wealth and estate planning issues. She also compiled presentations about the provisions of recent tax reform legislation and the impact of such on individual and trusts & estates taxes.

Ms. Martinez was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and she lived across the United States and in Germany while her husband was active duty Air Force. In her spare time, she enjoys being a little-league-mom and traveling with her husband and son.
