I enjoy the negotiations between defense attorney and the prosecution. Also, I enjoy defending my clients in front of a judge and jury. Criminal law allows me to perform both of these activities.
I feel that it is important to keep the client abreast of all the laws regarding their case. A client and his attorney are a team working toward the same goal.
I will often talk to my client and ask for his or her opinion. But, ultimately, I will only file documents that are appropriate for the client's case.
I will always coach a client who wants to represent themselves, but I will also remind them of the saying that, "a person who represents himself has a fool for a client".
I have been a solo practitioner for the last 16 years.
I have always found myself to be a competitive person. Whether it be on the playing field or in a court of law, I have a desire to always do my best.
I am able to think quickly on my feet and clearly present my ideas through public speaking.Personal interests:
Sports, politics and Constitutional Law.
