Firm Overview

Alaska Personal Injury Lawyer Michael J. Schneider

If you have been seriously hurt in an accident, it pays to talk to an attorney. The insurance industry's own data shows that people who work with a lawyer receive significantly more money for their injuries and losses than people who try to handle their own injury claims.

When results are important, choose a law firm with a track record of success handling cases like yours. For more than 30 years, the legal team at the Law Offices of Michael J. Schneider, P.C. has helped injured people throughout the state of Alaska. Whether you were hurt in a car or truck accident, injured by medical negligence, or lost a family member in a maritime accident, we can help.

Professional legal help DOES make a difference in the outcome of personal injury claims and wrongful death cases. Attorney Michael J. Schneider has obtained many million-dollar settlements for his clients. If you are facing an insurance company, e-mail the Law Offices of Michael J. Schneider, P.C. or call toll free at 866-381-4548. Michael Schneider

Michael J. Schneider is a nationally recognized attorney with over 30 years of experience pursuing justice for clients in Alaska. Our firm diligently represents our clients’ interests in obtaining exceptional verdicts and settlements in complex civil injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, spinal cord injury, and catastrophic injury cases.

Mr. Schneider is a charter member and past president of the Alaska Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). The mission of ABOTA is to preserve the constitutional vision of equal justice for all Americans and to preserve our civil justice system for future generations. Educating other attorneys in the art of trial advocacy has always been the goal of ABOTA, and Mr. Schneider has been a presenter at a semi-annual education program, “Masters in Trial,” sponsored by ABOTA. It is an honor to be selected and chosen to serve as an ABOTA member. There are currently 13 attorneys in all of Alaska serving as Alaska chapter members.

Mr. Schneider is a sustaining member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and a former state delegate. He has also served as Alaska’s representative to the national AAJ Board of Governors. He is an active member of the Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers (former president and current board member). He is a steering committee member and was twice chairman of the Alaska Action Trust, an organization opposing reductions in plaintiffs’ rights and other negative changes in the civil justice system.

He has spoken publicly, written, testified before the legislature, and lobbied extensively regarding the liability insurance crisis. He is the former editor of the Alaska Bar Rag and a contributor on tort and insurance law topics. He is AV Peer Review Rated through Martindale-Hubbell* and is listed in the publication The Best Lawyers in America. In 2002, he was presented with the Board of Governors Professionalism Award by the Alaska Bar Association in recognition of exemplary conduct in his association with the public, his colleagues, and the legal community.

Mr. Schneider is married to Jane Schneider, a firm staff member. Aside from the practice of law, his passions include bow hunting, Alaska’s great outdoors, and piloting his single-engine PA-14.
