Simply being accused of a sex crime can cause an immediate change in how other people see you regardless of whether you are guilty. McKay Law Firm believes that all people are innocent until proven guilty, and it is vital that you be treated fairly when you have been accused of any type of sex crime. We will work to vigorously defend your rights and ensure that you are treated fairly by the justice system.

When you are accused of a sex crime, we will thoroughly investigate every angle of the case. In some instances, the allegations may have risen from a vindictive ex or family member and can easily be disproven. No matter the circumstances, we will gather all the necessary evidence and prepare all the details to defend you in court.

We will also stand by your side throughout the investigation to ensure that authorities act properly when collecting evidence and witness statements and when questioning you. Sometimes, law enforcement and prosecutors will attempt to infringe upon your legal rights to prove your guilt. McKay Law Firm is dedicated to protecting you from these common tactics.

Matthew McKay

Like many of my clients, I was born and raised in Arkansas by a single mother. I went to high school, college and law school in Little Rock. While in law school, I developed a passion for criminal law and protecting the rights of the accused.

Since I began practicing law in 2007, I have represented hundreds of clients from across the state of Arkansas in criminal and family law matters. My clients have faced all type of charges; including, drug possession, drug trafficking, assault, battery, theft, burglary, sexual assault, rape, fraud, robbery, homicide and many others. I have handled criminal cases ranging from traffic tickets and misdemeanors to the most serious of felonies. My client's results included not guilty verdicts, directed verdicts, dismissals, and favorable plea deals. My criminal practice has also involved post-conviction representation and probation and parole issues; such as, probation revocation, early release from probation, and parole hearings. I have helped people seal their criminal records so that they can secure employment and enjoy many of the rights they enjoyed prior to a conviction. Guilty or innocent, I stand ready to be your voice.

In my family law practice, I have represented clients from all corners of the state. I have successfully handled divorce, child support, visitation, guardianship, property division, paternity, adoption, custody matters and more. For many people, a divorce or other family law problem can be the most stressful event of their lives. I have the experience and knowledge to help guide you through the full range of domestic relations cases, and I have the heart to care about your and your family's best interests during this difficult time.
