Richard W. McCarthy

Dick was a founding member of the firm and practiced in Rock Island County for over 60 years, first as Assistant State's Attorney and Assistant Attorney General and then in private practice. Dick practiced in the areas of probate administration, divorce, residential real estate, labor relations and inheritance. He is and will continue to be missed.

John S. Callas

John was born and raised in Moline, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Illinois in 1979 and his JD from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Illinois Kent College of Law in 1982. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the US District Court for the Central District of Illinois in 1982 and in 1990 was admitted to the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. John has practiced and experienced a wide range of practice areas primarily in civil litigation. John's practice currently actively includes non-personal injury civil litigation, ERISA, labor law, corporate law and commercial litigation, real estate, and probate. John has been involved in a variety of community organizations and served a number of public appointments.

Timothy M. Feeney

Tim was born in Davenport, Iowa. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Iowa in 1989, he continued at Iowa, receiving his J.D., with distinction, in 1992. Upon graduation he served as law clerk to the Honorable Lee M. Jackwig, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Iowa. He is a member of the Rock Island County Bar Association, the Scott County Bar Association, and the Illinois and Iowa State Bar Associations. He has served the Iowa State Supreme Court Commission on the Unauthorized Practice of Law for over nine years. He currently serves as a director for Federal Bar Association of Iowa's Board. He has been a member of several boards of directors, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Quad Cities and the Quad City Claims Association. Tim practices in the areas of personal injury, auto accidents, civil litigation, bankruptcy, debtor/creditor, dram shop liability, commercial litigation, workers compensation, insurance defense, general practice, real estate and probate.

Michael W. Halpin

Mike was born and raised near Albany, New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Roger Williams University in 2001 and his JD from the University of Illinois in 2008. He served as law clerk for the Honorable Rita B. Garman of the Illinois Supreme Court from 2008 to 2010, before joining McCarthy, Callas & Feeney, P.C. Mike is a member of the Rock Island and Scott County Bar Associations, the Illinois and Iowa State Bar Associations. He also serves as a Board Member for Bridging the Gap, a stand down for homeless veterans. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2008 and to the Iowa Bar in 2010. His primary areas of practice include family law, labor and employment law, real estate, contracts, small claims and collections, wills, personal injury, auto accidents, and traffic/DUI/criminal defense.

William L. Detrick

William was born in Taipei Taiwan. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois in 1996 he continued at Thomas M. Cooley Law School receiving his JD in 1999. Upon graduation from law school he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge John Gorman the Chief Judge of Peoria County, Illinois. He is a member of the Rock Island County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He also served in the Illinois Air National Guard from 1990 to 1998 as a paralegal and served as a Jag in the United States Army from 2006 to 2012. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 as a Jag in the U.S. Army and served as the Chief of Legal Assistants. William practices in the areas of bankruptcy, social security disability, debtor/creditor, family law, federal and state criminal defense, real estate, probate, estate planning and the general practice of law.

Adam Hinrichs

Adam was born in Davenport, Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management in 2001 and his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2006. As a member of Laborers Local 309, Adam worked for the Laborers' Foundation for Fair Contracting (FFC) where he became, and has remained, active in progressive politics. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Work Comp Lawyers Association. Adam practices in the areas of workers compensation, labor law and employment law.

Carrie L. Clark

Carrie L. Clark is admitted to practice in Illinois, Iowa, and the Federal Court of the Central District of Illinois. Carrie is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, the Rock Island County Bar Association. Carrie's practice includes Family Law, Traffic/Criminal Defense, Estate Planning, Landlord/Tenant, and Civil Litigation.
