Patrick L. Deedon

Patrick L. Deedon is a partner in the firm with a practice emphasis on civil litigation, insurance defense, and accident injuries in state and federal jurisdictions for both private and public sector clients. Mr. Deedon has handled a wide variety of matters involving serious personal injuries, product defects, employment litigation, complex business disputes, trust litigation, and appellate matters.

Mr. Deedon received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with highest honors in Public Administration, with an option in Criminal Justice, from California State University, Chico in 2002. While at CSU, Chico, he was admitted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society wherein he served as Treasurer. Mr. Deedon received his Juris Doctor, with cum laude distinction, from Cal Northern School of Law in 2006. Mr. Deedon received multiple Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in the areas of: Civil Procedure, Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Taxation, Advanced Legal Writing, and Professional Responsibility.

Mr. Deedon is a member of the State Bar of California and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Deedon is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada (ADCNCN), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and an associate member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA). He is formerly the Vice-Chair of the Litigation Sub-Law Committee for ADCNCN. He is a member of the Shasta Trinity Counties Bar Association and has served as President, Vice President, and Past President. Wayne H. Maire

Wayne H. Maire is the founding principal of Maire Burgess & Deedon. The firm was originally founded in 1983. Mr. Maire's practice emphasis is civil defense litigation. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, general and products liability, automobile, casualty and surety law, professional errors and more.

Mr. Maire received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Brigham Young University in 1976 and his law degree at University of Santa Clara, School of Law in 1979. He was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States Northern and Eastern District Courts in 1979, and the U.S. Court of Appeal, Ninth District, in 2009. In 1989, Mr. Maire received the "AV" designation by his peers for being considered in a class of attorneys who are "Very High to Preeminent" in their field.

Mr. Maire is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, The Defense Research Institute, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the California Defense Counsel and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He has served from 1998 to the present on the Board of Directors of the California Defense Counsel and also served on the Board of Directors of Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada from 1988 to 1991 and 1996 to 2003. He served as President of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada in 2002. He served as President of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada in 2002, the President of the California Defense Counsel in 2006, and served as the Regional Director of California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii on the Board of Directors of the Defense Research Institute from 2004 through 2007.

In 2003 he was appointed by Chief Justice Ron George of the California Supreme Court to serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel of Experts on the Fair and Efficient Administration of Civil Cases. Mr. Maire was one of four California attorneys appointed to this panel charged with rewriting the rules and procedures regarding the fast track program and administration of civil cases in California. Mr. Maire has been recognized by Law & Politics as one of Northern California's "Super Lawyers" since 2005 and in Best Lawyers in America since 2010.

Jody M. Burgess

Mr. Burgess maintains a practice emphasis in business and commercial litigation, real property, and contract litigation. He also serves as general counsel to municipalities and a number of private businesses throughout Northern California.

Mr. Burgess received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1998 from the California State University, Sacramento. He graduated with Cum Laude honors and was admitted into the Alpha Phi Sigma and Golden Key National Honor Societies. In 2002 he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific and was honored with Distinction and admitted to the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society.

From 2008-2012, Mr. Burgess received the BV designation by his peers recognized for very high legal ability and ethics for attorneys with less than 10 years of experience. In 2012 and 2013 he was designated aCalifornia Super Lawyer, Rising Star. The Rising Star designation is received by no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers throughout the State of California. In October of 2012, Mr. Burgess began a one-year appointment on the State Bar's Committee on Administration of Justice (Northern Section) and resumed that position in 2013. He is a member of the State Bar Real Property Law and Business Litigation Sections, the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy Alumni Network, and a past member of the Association of Defense Counsel for Northern California and Nevada. Mr. Burgess resides in Shasta County with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys bicycling, fly-fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family. He is an avid supporter of various organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Elks Foundation, the Shasta Trinity Fly Fishers and the Youth Violence Prevention Council's Peer Court Program. Clinton M. Boren

Clinton M. Boren is an associate in the law firm with a practice emphasis on real property, estate planning and civil litigation. Mr. Boren received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Society with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. Previous to entering into law, Mr. Boren worked in the banking industry for several years and has applied this knowledge in his practice of estate planning.

Mr. Boren received his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2008. While attending law school, Mr. Boren was a student intern with the State of California Attorney General's Office in the Appeals, Writs and Trials Division where he drafted Respondent Briefs to appeals made to the Appellate Court on behalf of the State of California.

Mr. Boren is a member of the State Bar of California and the Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association. He is the former Member-At-Large and Treasurer of the Shasta-Trinity County Bar Association and has attended several events as a guest speaker on estate planning and real property matters. Mr. Boren was raised in the greater Redding area and was happy to return to this area where he now lives with his wife and two children.

Collin M. Bogener

Collin M. Bogener is an associate at the firm with a practice emphasis on civil litigation. He has handled legal issues pertaining to breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, defamation, personal injury, and real property matters. He has also provided legal counsel to local municipalities in the northern California area.

Mr. Bogener graduated with magna cum laude distinction from California State University, Chico, where he received his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science, with an emphasis in Legal Studies. While attending CSU, Chico, Mr. Bogener was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, he competed in the school's moot court competition, he worked as an intern for the Community Legal Information Center, and he worked as a law clerk at the Butte County Jail. In 2010, Mr. Bogener received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. During law school, he was a member of the Pro Bono Honor's Society which was a result of his volunteer legal work within the San Diego community. He also gained experience in employment related class action cases while working as a law clerk for the law firm of Cohelan Khoury & Singer in downtown San Diego.

Mr. Bogener is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice in the Eastern District of California. Currently, Mr. Bogener is the President of the Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association and has previously served as the Member-at-Large of that organization. He is a member of the Redding East Rotary Club and is on the Dam Bridge Ride Committee through his involvement in Rotary, which organizes a local charitable event raising scholarship funds for kids to attend college. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family in the beautiful Northern California outdoors.

Michael C. Fitzpatrick

Michael Fitzpatrick is associated counsel with the law firm of Maire Burgess & Deedon. Mr. Fitzpatrick has an extensive background in both public and private law including several years of practice in the federal system as a military attorney. His practice emphasis is real estate, probate, personal injury, family law, conservatorships, guardianships, living trusts, wills, and estate planning.

Mr. Fitzpatrick received his Bachelor's Degree in 1966 at Claremont McKenna College and his law degree at the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1969. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1970. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Military Appeals.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is a member of the Redding Chamber of Commerce as well as the Anderson Chamber of Commerce. He is a Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, JAG Corps, the coordinator of Southeast Asian ministries, First Church of the Nazarene, Redding, California, a former member of the Board of Trustees of Point Loma University, San Diego, California and a past Chairman and Member of the Board of Trustees of Simpson University Foundation, Redding, California.

Jacob Baldwin

Jacob R. Baldwin is an associate in the firm with a practice emphasis in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense. Mr. Baldwin received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Simpson University in 2008. Thereafter, Mr. Baldwin began his legal studies at the William S.
