Criminal case representation is provided on a flat-fee basis, and rate depends on number and seriousness of charges, case complexity, and stage of case. Fees quoted are for work not including a jury trial. Jury trial fees are negotiated and paid 4 weeks prior to trial. Many cases are settled prior to trial.
Atty. Lucsay focused on litigation immediately upon her acceptance to the Wisconsin Bar, in order to provide citizens with aggressive and zealous representation when they are perhaps the most vulnerable in their lives. Atty. Lucsay excels in courtroom work, negotiation, case investigation, and cross-examination. Writing contracts and representing big business was never in Atty. Lucsay's plan for a legal career. Rather, she wanted to represent real people in court as often as possible, and to help make their lives better.
Atty. Lucsay has been an active litigator since 2004, and has worked cases in multiple counties in Wisconsin. She has jury trial experience in both state and federal court, and clinical experience in state criminal court during law school.
Being accused of a crime, first and foremost, creates fear; fear of jail, fear of prison, fear of the stigma of a criminal conviction and separation from friends and family, fear of loss of employment. Atty. Lucsay takes all these factors into account when investigating cases, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for jury trial. While she cannot take away the stress that comes along with a criminal accusation, Atty. Lucsay inspires confidence, reliability, and reachability into her law practice on a daily basis. She also grew up in a small family business, so she knows the importance firsthand of accessibility. Most phone calls are returned the same or next business day, and Atty. Lucsay is also available by text message and email. Lucsay Law, LLC takes some of the burden off your shoulders, and allows an assertive and tenacious expert to navigate the criminal court system and provide you with the best chances for a favorable outcome.
