How did your firm decide on the primary area of practice(s)?

I was introduced to family law in January 1994, when I met my mentor who convinced me to try family law. I had a great affinity for this practice from the start.

What is your firm's point of view regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?

What is your opinion regarding clients educating themselves on legal issues?
The more educated the clients can be, the more informed they can be in assisting in their case. However, the particular areas of family law and consumer bankruptcy law are complex, and clients should pay particular attention to the advice of their counsel when litigating these issues.

Is your firm willing to review documents prepared by clients?

It is encouraged, particularly in terms of declarations of clients in regards to family law issues. However, the clients should know that the attorney will make the final product one in which he or she is comfortable with presenting to the court.

Is your firm willing to coach clients who want to represent themselves?

I have done so in the past and will continue to do so. This process oftentimes is referred to as "ghostwriting."

Lindsey Green

Prior law firm, Wilkinson & Sood, from December 1996 through May 1998, as associate attorney in areas of family law, bankruptcy law, and immigration.

I was an intramural referee in college at the University of California at Santa Barbara, as well as a referee for flag football, softball, and baseball. I presided over many fraternity games. Many fraternity brothers thought that cash game was the World Series or the NBA Championships, and I spent a great deal of time focusing on the players, making tough calls and keeping the peace.

I am a very good listener, and my style is to aggressively advocate for my clients, as well as settle cases when it makes absolute sense for my clients.

Personal interests:

I have a wonderful wife and two young children, ages 7 and 9, with whom I spend a great deal of time when not working. I am involved with the Y-Indian Guides with both of my sons, as well as AYSO soccer. In my limited free time, I enjoy playing golf and tennis.
